Entity resolution — one organisation, one record?

Organisation records grouped by company reference number; a duplicate group is one reference recorded under multiple ODS ids with variant name spellings (case, punctuation, Pty/Proprietary/Limited forms). Identically-named organisations with different reference numbers are rejected as distinct entities.

How to read it

Each duplicate group is one organisation with multiple records. Look-alikes (same spelling, different reference) are deliberately not merged.

Why it matters

Duplicate parties fracture the conflict view, the referral graph, and every roll-up that counts by organisation.

Watch for

A merge is a proposal for a data steward, never an automatic action — the guardrail rejects same-name / different-reference look-alikes.
